Although we had directions to Parker’s ranch located north of Casper, Wyoming, we still had to make a few scenic u-turns. Parker grew up on this land, then went to the city for college, but eventually came back to his roots. The ranch spans 12 miles tip-to-tip: large enough for his father to need his piloting skills to run a daily report of the land. We camped in an old hunting cabin built a couple of generations ago. Parker cooked us burgers sourced from his last hunt. The sun set and we stayed up talking around the campfire, but the next day came too quick and the ranch doesn’t take a day off.
