“It’s only about a mile hike to the lake,” Bridget said as we sat in her truck listening to the rain outside. I knew this wasn’t going to be easy. Our photo crew lives at sea level and we hadn’t yet acclimatized to Utah’s elevation, 9,800 feet to be exact. The rain eased to a light drizzle so we grabbed our gear and set out. Bridget smoked us on the hike. When we finally made it to the lake – tired and breathless – it all became worth it.
