Mulepacking with Chris Eyer

We met up with Chris in the afternoon and were greeted by a group of men – contractors in the middle of building a home Chris had designed. When we arrived Chris ran out and greeted us with a grin and a strong handshake. We walked around his property at the foot of the Lolo National Forest, and as he called each mule by name, they came running up to say hello to the new guys in town. We spent the next couple days with Chris, Lianna, twenty mules and their Golden pup, Mable, weaving in and out of the forest. We hiked, we laughed, Mable ate my breakfast sandwich, and we explored – letting the Montana light do its work while we held our cameras in awe. Photos by Travis Moulton
